Carol B. Kaplan
b. February 11, 1935
Carol B. Kaplan, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, a week short of her 88th birthday, at Linden Village. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 11, 1935, daughter of the late Daniel and Molly Rhoda Squire Kaplan.
Carol was a graduate of Brooklyn College and taught for years. She also worked as a realtor and retail sales for many years. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel where she was a life member of Hadassah, member and past president of the Sisterhood. She was also a member of the Lebanon County Realtor Association. Carol enjoyed mah-jongg, knitting, crocheting, piano and watching TV.
Carol will be greatly missed by her children, Stephen, husband of Cheri Kaplan of Lebanon, Pamela Kaplan of Wharton, NJ, Bryan Kaplan of Lititz; Jeffrey Kaplan, husband of Jeannie Edwards of Mechanicsburg; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Kaplan. Carol’s greatest joy and accomplishment in life was raising her four children. She also enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carol’s funeral service on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon. Interment will be made in Beth Israel Cemetery. Please omit flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
