Casimira Pakola
Casimira Pakola, aged 77 years, died on April 30, 2024.
Casimira was born in Kelayres, PA on January 18, 1947. She was the beloved and treasured wife of Richard Pakola for 57 years. The joy of her life was her family, including her 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Her love pervaded her very being, and in addition to her family expressed itself in her gardening, volunteering her master gardener services planting flowers at the Lebanon VA Hospital. She also spread love as a fitness instructor for seniors in the Penn State LIFT program, with her instructees known affectionately as her strong women. Since moving to Lebanon in 1976, she has been a member of the Catholic community at St. Gregory until it closed and since at St. Cecilia.
She is survived by her husband Richard and 5 children: Richard Pakola, Jr. husband of Maki Shimanaka, Stephen Pakola husband of Alison Pack, Jennifer Pakola wife of Robert Cucknell, Rebecca Thurman wife of Raymond Thurman, and James Pakola husband of Mayumi Miyaoka. She is also survived by her sister, Charmagne. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Josephine Saladigo, her brothers Paul and Florian, and her sister Frances Kominski.
Funeral visitation will begin at 11:30am followed by services at 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon PA.
