Charles E. Hummel
b. October 31, 1933
Charles E. Hummel, 89, of Cornwall Manor formerly of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Lebanon Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Blanche N. Knoll Hummel whom he married February 6, 1955 in Bethel, PA. He was born in Lebanon on October 31, 1933, son of Herbert S. and Roxie Mason Hummel.
Charles graduated from Lebanon High School in 1951. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Lebanon. Charles was a member of Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 F&AM, the York Rite Bodies of Lebanon and was a life member of VFW Post 23, Lebanon. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his wife, Blanche, Charles will be missed by his daughters, Brenda Hummel of Lebanon, Norma Jean, wife of Bradley Arnold of KY, sons Edward C, husband of Terry Hummel of Lebanon, Douglas E, husband of Marjorie Hummel of Lebanon; grandchildren, Tishe Hummel, Adam Hummel, Seth Hummel, Blaine Hummel, Callie Arnold and great granddaughters, Lillian Robinson and Roxanne Hummel. He was preceded in death by his brother Herbert L. Hummel.
