Clara M. Walter

Clara M. Walter, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday evening September 28, 2022 at her home. She was born in Norristown on July 12, 1928, daughter of the late John D. and Mildred L. Pike Walter.
Clara had worked 10 years at Winthrop Laboratory and worked many years as a cook at several places including Tobyhanna Army Depot and the Mt. Hope Home. She worshiped in the Christian Faith. Clara enjoyed cooking, especial baking bread, flowers, playing piano, organ, guitar and singing.
Clara will be missed by daughters, Jane M., wife of Robert Atkins of Lebanon, Marjorie E. George of Lebanon; her son, Kenneth, husband of Maxine Wilkerson of Richland; her 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Rev. John Walter, Eunice Wagner, Rev. Kenneth, husband of Patricia Walter and David, husband of Helen Walter. Clara was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Wilkerson, daughter, Mildred G. Zimmerman, grandson, John N. Zimmerman; brothers, Roger, Arthur and Nelson Walter and sister, Lois Boyer..
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Clara’s funeral service on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Service, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon, PA. A viewing will be held Monday, October3, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday, 9 AM to time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be made in St. John’s Cemetery, Mt. Aetna, PA.
