Clarence P. "Skip" Engle Jr

Clarence P. “Skip” Engle, Jr, 79, of Chesterfield, VA, formerly of Cornwall, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Johnston Willis Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was the husband of the late Carole Albright Engle who passed away October 2014. Skip was born in Lebanon on September 30, 1942, son of the late Clarence P. Sr and Betty Jane Sholly.
He was a 1961 graduate of Lebanon High School. Skip was a US Navy Veteran. He was a retired electrician at Alcoa and Blatt & Meyer. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, member and past master of Mt. Lebanon Lodge # 226 F & AM, York Rite Bodies of Lebanon, Harrisburg Consistory, Reading Rajah Shrine and R Field & Stream. Skip was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed hunting, Penn State Football, his grand and great granddaughters, his cat Brittany and his Mustang.
Skip will be missed by his daughter Catherine “Cathy”, wife of Kevin Buchter of Chesterfield, VA, granddaughters; Sarah, wife of Nicholas Stafford of Chester, VA, Emily Buchter, companion of Dalton Kitchen of Richmond, VA; a great granddaughter, Violet Stafford; ,his sisters, Joyce, wife of Dennis Houser of Jonestown and Cindy, wife of Jerry Kamper of NY; several nieces and their families. Skip was preceded in death by his brother Carl Engle..
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Skip’s memorial service on, Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10 AM from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St,, Lebanon. Friends will be received Friday from 9 to 10 AM at the church. A Masonic Service by Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 will be held Friday at 10 AM at the church. Interment with military honors will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions in “Skip's” memory may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital 3551 N. Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
