Cris C. Demler

Cris C. Demler, 65, of Reading, formerly of Cleona, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Reading. He was the husband of Debra Knesz Demler, whom he married February 14, 2012. Cris was born in Lebanon on December 31, 1956, son of Earlene Little Demler of Cleona and the late Frederick K. Demler.
He was a 1975 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. Cris served in the US Army Reserve. He was employed by UPS for over 20 years and had been employed as a funeral assistant at Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., Lebanon and had been a tank mechanic at Ft. Indiantown Gap. Cris enjoyed NASCAR, followed local auto racing, the Vikings Football Team, playing pool and working on cars.
In addition to his mother and wife, Cris will be greatly missed by his son Drew F. Demler of Lebanon, his daughter, Sara, wife of Shawn Romberger of Lebanon; grandchildren, Kaylee, Victoria and Alex Romberger; his brother, Cory A. Demler of Cleona; his stepson, Thomas J., husband of Lori Bebb of Mohrsville, his stepdaughter, Devon R., wife of James Lazur of Hellertown; step grandchildren, Dalton, Delaney, Iris and Carson, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins and his pet dog Eva. Cris was preceded in death by a granddaughter Olivia.
Private family services are being planned.
