Donald R. Mellott

Donald R. Mellott, 73 formerly of Akron and Ephrata, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Gardens of Palmyra. He was the husband of the late Carol A. Kiser Mellott who passed away August 3, 2015. Don was born in Lancaster on July 13, 1945, son of the late Colonel Ray and Ethel Hostetter Mellott.
Don was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from Kerr Glass as a machine mechanic. Don enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his son Donald L. Mellott of Neffsville, his daughter Tammy L. Madara of Lancaster, granddaughters Amanda and Jenica Madara, 4 great grandchildren and sister Joan Mellott.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Don’s graveside service with full military honors on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
