Edgar J. Miller

Edgar J. Miller, 93 of Myerstown, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Stoneridge Towne Center, Myerstown. He was the husband of Wilhelmina Peischl Miller, to whom he was married for 72 years. Edgar was born in Orwigsburg on December 12, 1924, son of the late Herwood N. and Ada L. Fisher Miller.
Edgar was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was the retired Executive Vice President of the former People’s National Bank of Lebanon. Edgar was an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Lebanon. He was past president of the American Cancer Society, Lebanon Chapter, a former member of Center of Lebanon Association, Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, Lebanon Kiwanis Club, Family and Children’s Service and Lebanon County Travel Bureau.
In addition to his wife, Edgar is survived by his daughter Mary Diane, wife of Rudolfo Barahona of Lebanon; his sons, Dr. Thomas Edgar, husband of Carol Lesher of Gulf Port, FL, Steven John, husband of Betty Miller of Womelsdorf, James Jason, husband of Susie Miller of Lebanon, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jack and James Miller and sister Rose Wrone.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edgar’s memorial service on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:30 AM from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 S. 12th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Friends will be received at the church following the service. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution in Edgar’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
