Eleonore S. “Lori” Stoffer, 90, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 in the Lebanon Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Alexander Stoffer to whom she was married for 68 years. Eleonore was born in Pang bei Rosenheim, Germany on July 8, 1930, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Antesberger Seemann.
In Germany she was a salesclerk for shoes and sports items and learned hotel management and was a pharmaceutical clerk. After WWII she married a GI and relocated to Lebanon, PA, Lori was employed at Indiantown Gap, various clothing industries and retired as a cook from Lebanon VA Hospital, with 26 years of service. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed decorating, gardening, landscaping and was a great singer. She was funny, feisty and stubborn,
In addition to her husband Alexander, Lori, will be missed by sons, Alexander Stoffer, companion of Sonya Rivera of Little Rock, AK, Siegfried Stoffer of Palmyra, her grandchildren, Amy Stoffer of Tampa, FL, Eric, husband of Rebecca Stoffer of Lebanon, Cassie Stanczyk, wife of Marek of Austin, TX, Josh Stoffer of Little Rock, AK; great grandchildren, Eugene Griffith, JR, Samantha Stoffer, Francesca Stanczyk, her daughter in law Barbara of Lebanon; brothers, Dr Hubert, husband of Marilyn Seemann of Bally, Alfred Seemann of Passau, Germany, her sister, Annie Kirchbeck of Rambling, Germany and her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son. Hubert “Butch” Stoffer; her two brothers Burgmeister Ernst Seemann and Joseph Seemann.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Lori will be returned to Germany at a later date.
