Ellen Katz Lynn

Ellen Katz Lynn, 73, of Lebanon, died Saturday June 29, 2024 at the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital Lebanon. She was born in Baltimore, MD daughter of the late Arthur and Hilda Stern Katz.
Ellen was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and Frostburg State College and had attended Stevens College and George Washington University. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, Lebanon. She had worked at Home Medcare and the Caplan Pavilion. Ellen enjoyed red wine, the Phillies, ballroom dancing, which she learned from her grandfather, Atlantic City and Vegas shows having seen most of the big-name entertainers as well as Broadway musicals. She had also helped with Big Brothers & Big Sisters. Ellen is survived by her daughter, Jessica, wife of Cory Horst of Cornwall, her grandchildren, Alexandra Lynn and Owen Horst and her companion of 37 years, Eileen M. Arnold. She was preceded in death by her son Elias P. Lynn and brother, Henry Katz.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ellen's Celebration of Life on Sunday July 7, 2024 at 3 PM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon, where friends will be received Sunday beginning at 2 PM to time of service. Please omit flowers Memorial contributions in Ellen's memory may be made to Lebanon Valley Volunteers in Medicine or a charity of your choice. Interment will be made in B'nai Abraham Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
