Jeffrey J. Starner

Jeffrey J. Starner, 68, of Cornwall, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at his residence. He was the husband of Anna Stoudt Starner. Jeff was born in Lebanon on March 23, 1954, son of John and Edna Boyer Starner.
He was a 1972 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. Jeff was employed as a truck driver for Growmark FS. He was a member and Lay Leader for Cornwall United Methodist Church. Jeff was a member of the Knights of the 21st Century, member and president of the Community Fire Company of Cornwall Boro, and was a member and secretary of the Lebanon Hook & Ladder Fire Co. He enjoyed sports, especially attending Reading Phillies games and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Anna, Jeff will be missed by his children, Melissa, wife of Steve Mendoff of Lebanon, Heather, wife of Seth Dougherty of Elizabethtown, son Jed, husband of Megan Starner of Oak Park, IL; grandchildren, Brooke and Janelle Mendoff, Billy, Hailey and Sarah Dougherty and Noah Starner; great grandchildren, Jackson and Reagan Buckley and his sister, Jill Risser of Cornwall.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jeff's funeral service on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11 AM from Cornwall UMC, 50 Freeman Drive, Lebanon (Cornwall), PA. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon, PA and Thursday from 10 AM to time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Jeff's memory be made to Cornwall UMC, PO Box 687, Cornwall, PA 17016 or 4 Diamonds Fund, 1249 Cocoa Ave #115, Hershey, Pa 17033.
