Joseph A. "Tweet" Shuey Jr

Joseph A. "Tweet" Shuey, Jr, 69, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Wellspan Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. Joe was born in Lebanon on April 27, 1950, son of Joseph A. Sr and Arnetta Mae Engle Shuey.
Joe was an US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a former employee of San Gorgio Corp, was a former stadium manager at Cedar Crest High School and had been a driver for ARP Supply. Joe was a member of Quentin United Church of Christ, Quentin Fire Co where he had been Chief of the Fire Police for many years, and the Annville VFW Post. He was an avid golfer, loved sports at Cedar Crest High School as well as the Eagles, Phillies, time with his grandchildren and doing cross stitching and embroiderer.
Joe is survived by his children Joseph A III, husband of Michelle Shuey of Lebanon, Jennifer wife of Jason Gleim of Quentin, grandchildren Samantha Demucha, Andrew Shuey, Alexander Shuey, Sierra Gleim, Cheyenne Cleim, his brother Craig Shuey of Quentin and his nephew Nathan Shuey.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joe’s memorial service on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 7 PM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon. A visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home beginning at 6 PM to time of service. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
