Laura N. Kohr

Laura N. Kohr, 87 of North Cornwall Township passed away Sunday morning, February 18, 2024 at home. Born on November 12, 1936 in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Frederick Emrich. She was the wife of Richard R. Kohr who preceded her in death on November 18, 2010.
Laura attended Bethany United Methodist Church earlier in life. She worked for dress shops in the local area; Reliable Dress Shop, Schaeffer's Dress Shop and Grant's Department Store. She enjoyed volunteering for Head Start. Laura enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and bird watching. She was a funny and outgoing lady who enjoyed making others laugh.
Laura will be missed by her daughter, Karen L. Kohr, companion of Doug Hetrick of Jonestown and her son, Richard R. Kohr, Jr., companion of Hope Coates of Biglerville. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Kristen Crews and Allison Alonzo and great granddaughter, Akira Carroll. Laura is survived by her brothers, John, husband of Drucilla Emrich and Henry, husband of Louise Emrich, all of Lebanon and her sisters, Grace Emrich, Jean Campbell and Doris Emrich, all of Lebanon and Kathryn Gassert. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Eisenhauer and Shirley Gingrich.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Laura's funeral service on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 1PM from the Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon with Pastor Jonathan Hitz officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon until 1PM. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in Laura's memory to American Heart Association, 420 S 14th Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042.
