Lena W. Bordner

Lena W. Bordner, 93, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Bordner, Sr who passed away June 1991. Lena was born in Bainbridge, Lancaster Co, on January 8, 1925, daughter of the late Charles Wentz and Mildred Miller Wentz Wilson.
Lena was a retired machinist at Lebanon Packaging Corp. She was a member of Living Waters Chapel and the Friendship Fire Co. Lena was a great baker, a good dancer, enjoyed needlepoint and NASCAR.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra L. Carpenter of Lebanon, son Robert W. Bordner, Jr of Lebanon, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, sisters Donna, wife of David Peiffer of Elizabethtown, Brenda, wife of Bruce Patscke of Boiling Springs, Annatta, wife of Jerry Long of WA and brother Harry Wilson of Annville. Lena was preceded in death by a daughter Shelby Bord, Carrie Schrefer, Mildred, Helen Wilson, brothers Paul, Milton and Marlin Wilson.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lena’s funeral service on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon (next to Quentin Circle) with Pastor D. Dean Cover officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday beginning at 9 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
