Lisa C. Caputzal
b. May 14, 1958
Lisa C. Caputzal (Korte) was called home to her family in heaven on November 20th, 2023 after bravely battling cancer. Lisa was born in Great Barrington, MA on May 14th, 1958 to the late Arthur & Christine (Kubik) Korte.
She graduated from Monument Mountain High School in 1976. In 1978, she married her husband Louis on a beautiful autumn day in Our Lady of The Valley Church in Sheffield, MA. They recently celebrated 45 of married life. Together, Lisa & Lou built their homestead & started their family in Sheffield, MA. 20 years ago, however, they moved to their dream home & farm in South Annville, PA and began making new memories. She was the biggest supporter & advocate of her daughters Carrie (James) Gilles, Caitlin, and Kimberly and of grandson Trevor Gilles.
Lisa enjoyed day trips especially around the Amish countryside. Those trips usually always included a stop for Lapp’s Ice Cream. Eating dinner at Shady Maple was always a treat. Lisa would often say that her favorite thing to make for dinner were “reservations”. In recent years she also enjoyed helping at the PA State Beekeeper’s annual conference.
She worked at various jobs, but her fondest memories were as a kindergarten aide at Undermountain Elementary School in Sheffield. More recently she was a long-time employee of Ebersole’s Automotive, currently Bennett’s.
In addition to her husband, children, & grandson, she is survived by her sister Andrea (Billy) of Hawaii, brother James (Rose) of Sheffield, in-laws Frank (Lucille) of Port Chester, NY & many aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lisa’s funeral service on Friday December 1st, 2023 at 11am from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services LTD. 890 Isabel Dr Lebanon, PA. Viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8pm and Friday 10am to time of service at the funeral home.
