Nancy A. Mcdevitt
b. February 12, 1934
Nancy A. McDevitt, 88 of Cornwall Boro passed away at home, Monday morning, February 14, 2022. Born in Cornwall on February 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lester L. and Matilda Leibig Yorty. She was the wife of Robert T. McDevitt who preceded her in death on June 25, 2007.
Nancy graduated from Cornwall High School. She was a life time member of Cornwall United Methodist Church. She worked for the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Nancy enjoyed shopping, bird watching and watching home & garden shows. Most important to Nancy was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Nancy will be missed by her daughter, Debra, wife of Richard Carpenter of Cornwall and her son, Brian, husband of Melissa McDevitt of Lee's Summit, MO; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and George Yorty and her sister, Louise Kahlbaugh.
Memorial service will be held at Cornwall United Methodist Church, Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10 AM with family and friends being received at the church beginning Friday at 9 AM until time of service. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in Nancy's memory to National Audubon Society, 100 Wildwood Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
