Nelson L. Gaisior, 80, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Spang Crest Manor. He was the beloved husband of Betty Grace Barlett Gaisior, with whom he shared over 60 years of love and devotion.
Born on January 31, 1944, in Lewistown, he was the son of Louie J. and Lenore Mae Edgin Gaisior. Nelson was a proud graduate of Captain Jack High School in Mt. Union and Williamsport Tech. He and Betty spent many years as house parents at Milton Hershey, a role that allowed them to touch many lives with their compassion and care.
Nelson had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting in his free time. But above all, he treasured the time spent with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, which will be deeply missed by his daughters, Carol Ann Myers of Annville, and Lynn Fantom, companion of Mark Stout, also of Annville. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Ian Myers, Catherine Myers, and David Fantom and his wife, Danielle; his great-grandchildren, Wesley Fantom and Addison Fulton; as well as his sister, Joyce Nielson of Utah, and his brother, Gary Gaisior of Mifflintown.
A private family service has been held, with interment at Juniata Memorial Park in Lewistown. Nelson’s family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, and his memory will forever live in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in his memory to a charity of choice.
