Niranjan S. Idgunji
b. November 16, 1935
Niranjan S. Idgunji, 87, of Lebanon, formerly of Wilkes Barre, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He is the husband of LaVern Smith Idgunji whom he married September 29, 1969. He was born in Bombay, India on November 16, 1935,son of the late Skankar R. and Uma Idgunji.
He was an Electrical Engineer and professor at Penn State. Niranjan earned a BS in Physics from Bombay University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology. He was of the Hindu Faith, Niranjan avid golfer and enjoyed Penn State Football and watching American movies.
In addition to his wife, LaVern, Niranjan will be missed by his sons, Dev, husband of Rebeckah Idgunji of Mt. Gretna, Noel Idgunji of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Kathryn Idgunji and Samuel Idgunji. He is also survived by his brother Pradeep of Kinston. He was preceded in death by sisters, Nirmala Manjeswar and Neela Rao.
