Rosamund N. "Rose" Van Noy

Rosamund N. Van Noy, 97, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Stoneridge Town Centre, Myerstown. She was the wife of the late John D. Van Noy who passed away in 2002. Rose was born in Broome County, NY on March 26, 1922, daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred Swan Houghton.
She was a 1944 graduate of Meyer Memorial Hospital-University of Buffalo School of Nursing. Rose served as a 2ndLT in the US Army during WWII. After her discharge she served as a RN in numerous locations and ended her career as a nursing home administrator in Albany, NY. She was a life member of the VFW Post in Whitney, NY and the DAR. Rose was a certified genealogist.
Rose is survived by her children John, husband of Becky Van Noy of Merritt Island, FL, Sheryl, wife of Jerry Viele of Quartzsite, AZ, William, husband of Darla Van Noy of Yuma, AZ, Deborah, wife of Bruce Smith of Lebanon, Paul, husband of Peggy Van Noy of New Castle; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and her brother Ray, husband of Wanda Houghton of FL. She was preceded in death by sons Clinton and Michael Van Noy and brothers Robert, Richard and Calvin Houghton.
A graveside service will be held later this summer in Glen Aubrey, NY
