Sara A. Ciccone

Sara A. Ciccone, 89, of Quentin, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Daniel C. Ciccone who passed away July 7, 1994. Sara was born in Lebanon on October 13, 1932 daughter of the late John and Cathryn Hivner Switzer.
She was a 1949 Lebanon High School graduate. She had been an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lebanon. Sara was employed in sales at JC Penny’s, Bill Mahoney’s Men’s Wear and Schroyer’s. She enjoyed shopping, music, especially Credence Clearwater Revival, Solitaire, going to Teas and family time, especially with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sara will be missed by her son Carmen, husband of Sharon Ciccone of Cornwall; her daughter, Barbara, wife of Michael Keller of Lebanon; grandchildren, Sarah, wife of Steven Kauffman of Cornwall, Daniel, husband of Mollie Ciccone of Lebanon, Christopher, husband of Brie Ciccone of Douglasville; great grandchildren, Emma Kauffman, Carmine Ciccone, Claudie Ciccone, Matthew Kauffman, Dominick Ciccone and Alexander Ciccone. Sara is also survived by her sister Barbara, wife of David Wallet of Quentin and her brother, Glenn Switzer of Lebanon. She was preceded death by brothers, Grant Switzer, John Switzer, Charles Sweitzer, Donald Switzer, Robert Switzer and her sister, Marion Bickle, Arlene Groff, Arnetta Reichard, Jane Kugler and Catherine Switzer.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sara’s memorial service on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 10 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon where friends will be received Wednesday from 9 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial contributions in Sara’s memory may be made to Trinity UM Church, 757 Willow St, Lebanon PA 17046 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
