Susan M. Carlson

Susan M. Carlson, 70, of Cornwall, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. She was the wife of Dana Carlson whom she married January 30, 2009. Susan was born in Chester on December 30, 1952, daughter of the late Edmund and Janet E. Kershaw Shollenberger.
She was a graduate of Sterling High School, Stratford, NJ. Susan retired from Reebok, Boston, MA as a product manager, after 20 years of service. She was a member of General Federation of Women and volunteered with Meals On Wheels. Susan enjoyed time with her grandchildren, travel, gardening, the Beach and was a gourmet cook.
In addition to her husband, Dana, Susan will be missed by her daughters, Lisa, wife of Christopher Moore of Manheim, Lori Shanko of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Thomas, Emma, Jane Moore, Astrid Shanko; her half brother, Ed Shollenberger of Wrightsville; step brothers Bruce Bender of Long Island NY, Ken Bender of Arvada, CO; her step daughters, Holly, wife of Kevin Barcroft of Dunbarton, NH, Lindsay Heald of Riverview, FL and their families. She was preceded in death by her brother Steve Shollenberger.
At request of Susan, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, Susan, requested donations may be made to Johns Hopkins University, Sol Goldman Center, for pancreatic cancer research, 600 N.
