Thomas E. Albert, 71, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lebanon on January 3, 1947, son of te late Roy W. and Mary C. Swanger Albert.
Tom was a lifelong musician having played with Third Stream, Frankie D and Ken Lightner. He also composed music and poetry and wrote a symphony for the Hershey Orchestra. Tom was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 1969 graduate of Berkley School of Music in Boston. He loved cats and governed his life by the quotes, ”Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything” – Plato; “There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life; music and cats” – Albert Schweitzer; I would rather write ten thousand notes (musical) than a single letter of the alphabet” – Beethoven.
Tom is survived by his sisters Barbara Stoffer of Lebanon, Susan, wife of Richard Dawson of Lebanon, brother Richard Albert of Pueblo, CO, 4 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held.
