Walter L. Zehring
b. November 24, 1938
Walter L. Zehring went to Heaven on November 9, 2023 at the age of 84 years young. He was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Foster Zehring. Walt, as he was known to everyone, graduated from Lebanon High School in 1955, and joined the National Guard. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked for Bethlehem Steel until his retirement as a Draftsman in 1985.
He earned his Real Estate license, eventually owning Rauch Real Estate. He was the 2-time president of the Realtor’s Association, and served on several committees.
He was a proud member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lebanon, having faithfully served on many committees.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathleen (Leahy) Zehring; son Duane and Mary (wife), Lebanon; granddaughter, Jye(Jess) Zehring, Seattle, WA; son, Dean, Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in Death by sisters Elizabeth Boyer, Linda Heilman, brother George Zehring, and son Darren Zehring.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ‘Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.’
