William R. Andrews, 95, of Mt. Gretna, passed away at his residence Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was the husband of Ann M, Graham Andrews, whom he married April 3, 1954. Bill was born in E. Orange , NJ on May 6, 1927, son of the late Maurice R. and Katherine Van Wagoner Andrews,
Bill was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a graduate of Rutgers University. Bill was retired from the US Treasury Dept. as a bank examiner. He was an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church of Lebanon where he served as an Elder. He was an avid golfer. Bill enjoyed time spent with his family, time at the New Jersey Shore, time in Florida and was a fan of Penn State Football the Phillies and Eagles..
In addition to his wife, Ann, Bill will be missed by his sons, Graham, husband of Janet Andrews of Haddon Heights, NJ, Robert Andrews of Melbourne Beach, FL, his daughters, Lynda Furman, companion of Harry Whisler of Mt. Gretna, Cynthia, wife of Michael Spondello of Mt. Gretna, his 7 grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bill's memorial service on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11 AM from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 S, 12th St, Lebanon. Interment will have been made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Please omit flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church..
